Nice description but you have to see it to understand why I hated Woody in the movie ;)

Some of the parents are scummers, what about Spear, getting beat up that was horrible. Felt sorry for wee Shauns mum, giving up a wee bit of happiness, for him.

Lol is stunning, and captivating, I suspect she's going to fall pregnant..

loving this series..

Was the scene at the beginning of the episode an outake from the film, as I don't remember it being in the film?
Also who's the actress that played Lol's mum, and what else has she been in?

This series is excellent. I also thought Lol was being a right cow, but I have some sympathy for her now. The rape scene was horrendous. It looked very realistic and I cringed when Trev started to look uncomfortable and wanted to leave. Poor kid. It actually brought tears to my eyes.

Yeah???. Ah here, too many questions now:) Obviously it was all very quick at the end but I just thought they all must know as that seemed to be the "story" Combo concocted.Oh I wish there was another episode next week:mad:

Well, they mentioned Rosamund, but I'd guess it was more Smell. It was affectionate - they weren't being mean. They were taking the mickey out of themselves too. Vicky also imitated Joe pretty well. :D

I was really looking forward to this as this, as I loved the film....

I have to say, I was a 'slight' bit disappointed to be honest - I found the pace quite slow, and ad breaks with this kind of pace just didn't work for me - A shame it couldn't have been picked up the BBC, as I think it would have worked better 'Ad free'.

Having said that, it was good to see most of the actors back reprising their roles, and there were a few gems e.g The scene in the girls house with the bullies, and the low budget wedding.

I was waiting for Combo to turn up throughout the episode, but it didn't happen (although apparently he will be back).

Will definitely follow this though, as compared to other recent dramas (or anything in the last few years) it's not too shabby at all.

Who's the actor who played lols dad because seriously...that dude did an outstanding job. I truly hated him and he was genuinely scary. What a horrible character to play but he was faultless..well done that man.

I am a big ruffty tufty fella :D but even i was choked at the scene where Combo was cradling Lols head and telling her what happened in the story leading up to her fathers death. Was really really moving and the actors playing Combo and lol were bang on...once again fantastic.

For some reason in the last two episodes i get the feeling the actors were given a fair bit of leeway in their script to adlib the scene and kind of 'go with it' rather than 100% stick to the script. Does anyone know if this is what Shane Meadows normally does? I may be completely wrong.

Yes but most of us will not have witnessed that kind of thing in real life. To actually see it in such a graphic context is something else entirely. I'm not saying they shouldn't have shown it as the impact would have been lessened, but it didn't make the experience of watching it any less horrific.
