This is England 86 (Spoilers)

Crap things happening in real life is one thing. This Is England '86 may be grittier and more realistic than almost anything else on the box, but it's still a piece of dramatic art; created, not found and documented. Messages form, get conveyed and absorbed, even ones not intended by the program makers. That's the nature of television. I don't want an unrealistically upbeat ending either (and knowing Shane Meadows we probably won't get one), but I hope Mick does himself in. Combo shouldn't be allowed to be made into some sort of flawed hero figure.

Does anyone know what the piano music was? I'd love to learn it.

I'm enjoying this series by the way, agree, it does seem quite far from the film though. However, as a standalone entity, i think it's brilliant.

I live in Sheffield and it's pretty good seeing these local scenes and recognising where they are! I was hoping that someone would give the row of 'hairdryers' a shove so they'd all fall over, domino style :D And just what the hell was gobby blue tracksuit leader yob packing down the front of his nylon trackies??!!

I thought the fight scene was ace! Quite true to life. Apart from some vicious fights in town that I've seen, that's more like real life fighting to me. Gangley laRAB, throwing weak punches, chasing after each other, more wrestling than fighting!! Loved it! :D
