Ok i recently found a 1997 Ford Ranger Splash Standard Cab, Short bed, step side. It looked very nice barely any rust what's so ever. It looked in great condition. It ran good and started right up. I wanted to know details about these problems i will tell you about. First off it has 104,000 miles, automatic, 4cyl engine. It runs good and heres the problem or so we think. It has a lot of touchiness on the steering, like when you barely turn it swerves pretty quick. I was wondering if it's just because of the ranger's short wheel base or is there maybe something wrong with the front end like ball joints, tie rods, or steering box? Any help appreciated!
