Ok. So i'm 16 and I got my period early for the first time. I'm on birth control and my period lasted about 5 days. After it was over, my boyfriend and i had sex. About 2 weeks later i noticed i was bleeding out of my vag. It was very light, like i was spotting. It didn't go through my underwear so i didn't worry bout using a tampon. Then my boyfriend and i had sex again, and it got heavier. And it stayed heavy for a few days so i did have to use a tampon. I don't know if i can be pregnant cause there have been times where i had sex and forgot to take the pill, and i have still not gotten pregnant. I even had cramps like i was on my period. Please can anyone tell me whats wrong with me? i'm to scared to go to the doctors and i know i should and i will when i can get the nerve to tell my mom. i would appreciate the help. thanks!!!

If you think that you could be pregnant, you should stop taking the pills (use backup contraception if you continue to have intercourse) and see your doctor. There are privacy laws that allow you to see your doctor without your parents knowing why. However, if you are on your parents' health insurance, be sure to discuss the privacy implications with your doctor (a pregnancy test might show up on the bill or insurance statement sent to your parents). But you can opt to pay that out of pocket, or circumvent the whole issue by visiting a women's health clinic like planned parenthood.

But you should definitely see your doctor. Just tell your mom that you are having some irregular bleeding and need to see the doc. No lies, and it's a perfectly reasonable reason to visit the doctor.

Since you are so young and probably have not been on the pill very long, it's possible that this is normal as some people do have this sort of issue on the pill. The previous poster gave you a good suggestion. Just say you've had irregular bleeding and need to be checked.

It could be a lot of things, and pregnancy might bethe issue. However, pregnancy may be the last thing to worry about.

The message here is to suck it up, and go check it out with a physician. Your anxiety about this is only going to get worse unless you take action!

Im 22 and ive been on the pill for about 4 years now to regulate my period. If you havent been on the pill for more than 2 cycles it it likely that you are just spotting because of the pill. Or if you did miss pills like you said before, it is normal to get spotting. If you can read the little booklet that comes with your birth control pills, if not you can find it online by searching your birth control pill. But as far as the heavy bleeding goes, it is possible that the birth control pill does cooperate with your body very well (i went through 6 different b.c. pills and have come down to the depro-vera shot every 3 months) or it could be something more serious, regardless, you need to see a gyno about this, dont wait too long and dont be afraid of what your parents might think, like the other member said, just say you have irregular bleeding, regardless, like the other member said you do have privacy laws, whatever the case, go see a doc...
