It definitely tops my list - mind you, the Kinks were bloody excellent so I wouldn't judge anyone for having a different fav amongst their string of stellar albums.
Wow, this song is fantastic. It reminRAB me a little of Springsteen for some reason.
I had to comment on the Nu-Metal piece of this post. While I agree with you, I don't think its entirely fair to paint the whole genre the same. Its comparable to thrash in 1985. I think Kerry King said
Fairly the same with nu-metal except we have ~200 and 4 good ones. And for what its worth, Linkin Park is the absolute worst of the worst. There have been few corporate shills larger and more obvious than Linkin Park.
More those six are considered "not the worst", jk I like them but Sunflower and Surf's Up are much better. What the hell i'll do a list.
Surf's Up>Sunflower>Wild Honey>Today!>Pet SounRAB>Smiley Smile>All
Yes but I still think it's a great album... it's just dated compared to their others. Plus, Greg is a better vocalist and I like how they mess around with pop and electro on later albums as opposed to just 40 straight minutes of tempo changes and screaming.
Even those songs that are strictly 'mathcore' have improved immensely.
Almost, but you got them the wrong way around.
Three Imaginary Boys was their debut proper, Boy's Don't Cry was a compilation made up of stuff from their first album & their first 3 singles made up for the American market.I thought it would be better to go with the original as it was released seeing as I'm doing that with all the rest of them.
