This album > that album.

I'll start with an easy one:
Dethklok

DethAlbum II (2009) > DethAlbum (2007)

Otep

The Ascension (2007) > Sevas Tra (2002) > House Of Secrets (2004) > Smash The Control Machine (2009)

Mastodon

Leviathon (2004) > Crack The Skye (2009) > Blood Mountain (2006) > Remission (2002)

GoRABmack (What I've heard.)

Faceless (2003) > GoRABmack (1998) > IV (2006)

It's a great album don't get me wrong. But I'd say that Sabbath Bloody Sabbath has the best mix of progressive and heavy elements.

Anyway, what are your favorites on Vol 4? My favorite is Cornucopia, which has possibly the most kickass Sabbath riff ever.

I once did a top 20 WS in my older journal but I hard deleted it to appease the Nordic GoRAB. (Tore was going to sick them on me.)

I'll repost it but you're missing out on amazing tracks. Do you like any songs from either?

Well said. While I find most debut albums not as good as the later ones, I think that the debut is the most arabitious, the rawest sounding ones, and is a very good indicator of what sort of direction the band will go in.

My Led Zep one would go like:

Houses of the Holy>Physical Graffiti>IV>III>Presence>II>I>In Through the Out Door

On the topic of Can, have they made any other chill albums like Future Days. I love that album but I only like the rest of what I've heard. (Monster Movie, Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi)

Ghost Mice:

Full Lengths:
The Debt Of The Dead>Europe>Ghost Mice

Splits I've heard:
Saw Wheel Split>Andrew Jackson Jihad Split>Defiance, Ohio Split> Pretty Hot Split>Paul Baribeau Split>Heathers Tour CD

Pinback

Summer in Abaddon > Autumn of the Seraphs > Blue Screen Life > This is a Pinback CD

Yes, my username is quite cryptic. That's what I was aiming for when I typed it in.

I agree with you to an extent about about SOTSOG and BHN being a mess, what with Noel doing cocaine around BHN and the loss of a meraber(or was it two merabers?) around SOTSOG resulting in Noel having to record multiple parts to the album. BHN was bloated, yes, but I enjoy nearly the whole album. SOTSOG did have a crap song or two(Little James, I Can See A Liar) but I enjoyed their whole new psychadelic experimentation. Some days I would put Definitely Maybe above Be Here Now, but not yesterday.

When it comes to Morning Glory, I only like a few songs,(Cast No Shadow, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back In Anger, and sometimes Hey Now!) everything else I find to be extremely average. Maybe it was the airplay that ruined Wonderwall for me, Morning Glory gets old after awhile, I never liked Roll With It, or Some Might Say. And I still don't get why Oasis didn't put 'Whatever' on Morning Glory, that song was one of their best.

Everything Oasis did after 2000 was complete and utter garbage. Dig Out Your Soul was atrocious, I don't know how that got good reviews. Heathen Chemistry blew, and Don't Believe the truth had around two good songs.

I don't know how I forgot the Pumpkins, but I'll rate them now.

The Smashing Pumpkins

Siamese Dream>Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness>Adore>Gish>Machina>Machina II>Zeitgeist

Has anyone attempted rating Neil Young's discography yet?

Rage Against the Machine:

Rage Against the Machine > Evil Empire > The Battle of Los Angeles

Arctic Monkeys:

Whatever People Say > Favourite Worst Nightmare > Hurabug

I totally agree about that bit between moon&antarctica and Lonesome but I still prefer the prior better.

I'm surprised you like 'building nothing' so much. I like it too but I think it's their most depressing/slow album. It's seems out of character for them to me, though I got to admit they did it well. 'Workin on leavin the livin' is an epic song and there's a few little peaks here and there in the rest of the album that are really good.
