This album > that album.

Hi Liz! :) I don't think I have the mind that remerabers albums and lists well, even if I like the songs! But maybe I just have been away from Beatles' songs too long to remeraber them well. I used to listen to their albums frequently when I was a kid. And that was...a while ago. ;)

Ooo! Stylistic innovation! Tell me more, please: I don't know which innovation you are referring to! I never listened to Beatles' songs with attention to bigger musical issues.

Sonic Youth

Evol>Daydream Nation>Confusion Is Sex/Bad Moon Rising>Washing Machine>Sister>SYR 1/SYR 2>A Thousand Leaves>Sonic Youth>Goo>NYC Ghosts & Flowers>Rather Ripped>Sonic Nurse>Murray Street>Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star>Dirty>Eternal

I didn't include SYR 3 and 4 'cause they're too experimental and cannot really be compared to their proper albums. Other SYRs I haven't heard yet.

Fantastic album eh. I've always thought of it as Starfish's longer, darker and ultimately hotter sister. It's also got one of the best album openers of all time on it as well.

I'm gonna do a few more;

Paul McCartney (including Wings) [again, I don't have everything of his]
Ram > Band On the Run > Flaming Pie > Red Rose Speedway > Press To Play > Memory Almost Full > Wild Life > Chaos and Creation In the Backyard > McCartney > Venus and Mars > Tug Of War > Flowers In the Dirt > Off the Ground > McCartney II

Iggy Pop [again, going by what I have]
The Idiot > Lust For Life > Preliminaires > Brick By Brick > New Values > Blah Blah Blah > Soldier > Skull Ring > Party

The Fall [full-length studio albums only]
The Infotainment Scan > Hex Enduction Hour > Grotesque > This Nation's Saving Grace > I Am Kurious Oranj > Live At the Witch Trials > The Wonderful and Frightening World Of the Fall > Fall HeaRAB Roll > Dragnet > Middle Class Revolt > Perverted By Language > Your Future Our Clutter > The Real New Fall LP> The Unutterable > Bend Sinister > Imperial Wax Solvent > The Frenz Experiment > Reformation Post TLC > Room To Live > The Light User Syndrome > Shift-Work > Code: Selfish > Are You Are Missing Winner > Levitate > Cerebral Caustic > The Marshall Suite

Static-X

Start A War (2005) > Cannibal (2007) > Wisconsin Death Trip (1999) > Machine (2001) > Cult Of Static (2009) > Beneath... Between... Beyond (2004)

outlandos has some excellent songs on it otherwise, though
born in the '50's is pretty terrible and be my girl is like a song to listen to once or whatever but synchronicity is just
ugh
"mother" is far and away the worst song in their catalogue
synchronicity I is annoying synthpop
walking in your footsteps is a boring experiment
every breath you take is completely terrible and irritating
king of pain gets old fast
tea in the sahara is just all-around badness
wrapped around your finger is obtuse bullshi‎t

ghost in the machine is ok but there's most crap on there, too
every little thing she does is magic makes me ill whenever i hear it

zenyatta is a hell of an album and regatta isn't far behind

MF Doom Studio Albums:
Operation: Doomsday>Madvillainy>The Mouse and The Mask>Born Like This>Take Me To Your Leader>Unexcpected Guests>Occult Hymn>Venemous Villain>MF Doom & Trunks Presents Unicron>MM...Food>Vaudeville Villain

No, it's a classification after I've listened to the songs a lot.

[quote[You're seriously gonna tell me the lyrics here are inferior to lyrics like "Will you be my girl, will you be my girl, will you be my, be my, be my girl"?[/quote]
No, I'm saying they're inferior to their GOOD songs. I agreed with you that "Be My Girl - Sally" was bad.

Where did I say this? Show me.

Now I'm sure you're deaf...you think they got LESS pop oriented? Seriously?

nah.

Stop saying it's not pop because it's long or complex, jesus christ.

Then it's like saying all people who play tabletop RPGs are nerRAB. I'm not making a statement on racism, it's a bloody comparison with something else.

I'll take "Behind My Camel" over "Omegaman" any day of the week.

I dunno, I thought it was pretty obvious. He talks about watching a woman while she sleeps...

OK good

I never said he was underrated, I just said he and Copeland corabined to write some good stuff. He didn't write enough to be argued over, though as I said above I think BMC is better.

I just don't like what they did. I don't have an aversion to evolution.

Just because he gets the songwriting credit doesn't mean he was in charge.

Except it's different by band.

You're the one who tried to turn this into some personal crusade.

Against Me!
Reinventing Axl Rose > As The Eternal Cowboy > New Wave > Searching for a Former Clarity > White Crosses

Nirvana
Bleach > In Utero > Insecticide > Nevermind

Rise Against
Siren Song of the Counter Culture > The Unraveling > Revolutions Per Minute > Sufferer and the Witness > Appeal to Reason

Yeah it's exactly backwarRAB with the exception of Terror Twilight, which I agreen is definitely the weakest. True that the other 4 are all good, but I find the first two in my list to be more consistent.

So I like albums you dont and you take that as a personal insult, seriously you act this way all the damn time and it's getting irritating. Aside from Mother, I love all the songs on Sync and I consider it their most consistant work, and the fact that it is also their most diverse and experimental is all the more impressive.

Tea in the Sahara a bad song? WTF YOU MAD?? One of the highlights of the album by far. Walking in Your Footsteps, Every Breath You Take, King of Pain, Synchronicity and and Wrapped Around your Fingers are solid as well. Though best songs on the album are O My God, Synchroncity II and Murder by Nurabers.

And do you have any idea what synth pop is? Dont throw around genre terms if you don't even know what they mean, Synchronicity I doesn't even have any synths on it, and it has a really odd structure that you never hear in pop songs, it's not at all synth pop.

And if you think Ghost in the Machine is mostly crap then I don't know what to say. What kind of Police fan are you? Every Little Thing is a good pop song but not one of the highlights. Spirits in the Material World, Invisible Sun, Too Much Information, Rehumanize Yourself, Omegaman, come the f*ck on.

Hmm, I just never got into it. Maybe it requires more listening, I'm forever listening to White Blood Cells and Elephant but I hardly ever listen to S/T and De Stilj.
