Oh I see. Well those are the only Maiden albums that I ever liked at all.
Now, I'm not going to claim that I didn't fall in love with 7th Son as soon as I saw pre-release advertisements in the record store (I was 13 with a mullet, for your reference). And I can't lie and say that I didn't buy the tape the day it came out and probably destroyed some of my hearing listening to it on my Walkman for months (that's years in teen months).

Still, 7th Son has late-80s cheese smeared all over it. It was nowhere near as solid as Somewhere in Time, which downright sucks compared to Powerslave. I doubt I could even tolerate it if it weren't for nostalgia. boom
 
I'll take you up on that offer. I have nothing to fire as of yet, I might just bump old threaRAB like The White Stripes - Icky Thump review, just because it annoys you so much.

I don't like Tool, do a better one..

Victorialand first, huh? It's a great album, but there is no way I could put it before Treasure. And I'm surprised you don't like their later albums if you like Blue Bell Knoll that much...I find its sound very similar to Four Calendar Cafe. Either way, I love the variety of music they put out...your rankings vs. mine show how they can appeal to different tastes.
 
I'd say so, if only for the last three tracks alone, which are pretty much as good as music gets for me. Tough calls all-round for a guy like Cave though, so doing that list wasn't exactly easy.

LA Woman is Jim at his most humorous. He doesn't take himself very seriously on that one, weither it's his vocal imitation of a blues guitar solo in Cars Hiss By My Window or lyrics like

"C'mon people, don't ya look so down
You know the rain man's comin' ta town
Change the weather, change your luck
And then he'll teach ya how ta...find yourself"

I know it's immature but I still laugh at that part. :laughing:

Anyway. Strange Days and Morrison Hotel are excellent as well, Waiting for the Sun is also very solid, it's not as well liked because it's much more on the mellow side, though it also has some of their weirdest psychedelic freakouts. Those 3 are well worth checking out.
