This 4th was sort of shit.

Wow. This Forth of July was shit. Now, usually I will go back too the house and just hang out with family all day or something like this, but this year two friends talked me into going to Denver with them too go to the Rockies 4th of July Game. Bad Choice.

I wake up at 6, like planed, and got my stuff together too be ready too go by 7.30ish, I had the vehicle we where taking and I was all set. I was a few minute early, and made it too my friends Dorm building by 7.40ish, and I wait until 8. They still don't go out so I eventually go up to their room, and find out ones still getting ready, and the others passed out. After 10 minutes of me *helping* the sleeping one up, he finally gets set and ready. We leave at around 8.30. We do the 3 and a half our trip fine, and where starving. First order of business is to drop one off at the park and the other two go grab lunch and meet back at the lines. Well, I get dropped off. Come too find out the line was long. Really long. Friends make it back in thirty minutes because of the traffic and we just eat in line. After waiting for close too 2 hours in line, we are only six people from the front. Bam, a guy comes out and announces they have no more tickets.

We get pissed and walk away, and after searching through scalpers (Eh, we where desperate.) we could find no tickets we could afford. We start the trip back, and because of soon heavy storming on our trip back, it takes four or so hours too make it back. This was the biggest waste of time I've ever had!

Judging from your avatar, all i can say to that is: wait until you join the military.

The bullshit and loops they'll make you jump through makes that day seem like a breeze.

Awe, that sucks. Impulsive trips can go either way when there isn't a lot of following the time line to get shit done. ;)

Hopefully, it won't happen again.

I like a challenge.

And yeah. Would you like to know the worst part? In a one in one million chance, I saw my last ex there. Now, that was a "No fucking way" moment. And my friend lost his wallet, there. Luckily for him, he was smart and removed his ID, and credit card he uses for some reason, and just lost 60 some dollars. Plan was to find an ATM inside of the stadium.

I wasn't talking about the training.

I was more referring to the miles of paperwork, all the hurry up and wait that the military has, and the bureaucracy involved in asking permission to wipe your own ass.

You thought waiting in that line was bad.

Sucks your friend lost 60 bucks, though.

Lol, I know what you where talking about mate. I have a few offers going right now over the Military so I'm waiting too see what goes down, but yes. He wasn't all that pissed though. It was money he won on some baseball pot we make now and then so it was really no loss to him. Hes just lucky as hell he takes out all his extreme personal shit in cities. Lucky bastard is how I see it. He has alot float his way.

totally sucks dude

its ok sometime you just have to look at the whole trip as an adventure.
that way if it fails, as it did in this case, you still had fun =)
sounds corny but it works.
we have many failed trips that ended up being pretty awsome anyway
