Just watched this film last night for the first time and had to write a post to say how brilliant it was. The last ten minuites had me in buckets of tears

Holly hunter and the girl who plays her daughter are so amazing i felt for them so much.

It was co-written by the actress, the director wrote most of the script.

I found the film to be nothing special, only parts I enjoyed were the scenes between the daughter and Holly Hunter, especially near the end.

absolutely. I think the mother daughter scenes are fantastic, i have a similar relationship with my mother, esp. in my teens and i really thought that relationship was written well, without being judgemental on either side.

I think the daugter is destined for great things.

:D

Yep, Thirteen Ghosts was atrocious, except for Lillard getting to the peak of annoyingness and then being snapped in half. :)

Thirteen is a terrific drama, and better explained here.

I thought this film is so overrated and pointless and it dragged on,seemed to be lots of "shocking" scenes just there for the point of shocking without much to say either way.It was like a bad Larry Clark film

still i wanted to see it,i saw it and promptly traded it back into blockbuster

i love these kind of films, they have always grabbed my attention
and don't get me worng, i thought this one was very well done and great to watch, but the ending just left me a bit nothingy (desperately in search of a good word to describe it), i was just a bit "oh well, is that it???"
i'm not quite sure really, i think i just wanted more from the ending, it felt unfinished to me

Yeah this film was excellent. Great Acting.

Although i think Kip Pardue should of had more to do. He is a great actor and never seems to get alot to do in any films.
