Third films that ruin a movie franchise

Lol, the 'We Love Telly' film critic praised 'Blade 2' and said he couldn't wait for no.3 to be released in cinemas, bear in mind the film had already been on blockbuster shelves for almost a year already. Clearly the simple exclution of the '3' in the title and poor advertising mad eit unnoticeable.
It's probably for similar reasons why I didn't even approve of the titles of 'X-III/ X-Men: The Last Stand', 'Rambo 3' (as opposed to 'First Blood' and 'First Blood part 2'), 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift'. etc.
Look out 'Shrek the Third'.

Godfather Part III
Beverly Hills Cop III

and the Third Matrix film. I really didn't care what happened at the end of that film, even if I could be bothered to work out what actualy did happen in the third place.
