Thinking of Selling My 1198S That I got 2 nights ago???????????

By the way, I think you'll like the new MV Agusta that will be in dealers in about two weeks. It's a 4 cylinder and very smooth power delivery (new fuel system), looks good, exotic, runs cooler (new cooling system), LED running lights, but priced lower than the Ducati.

Pro Italia's the only dealer in the L.A. area but they do offer test rides and will take your 1198S on trade because they're also a Ducati and Aprilia dealer. So, I think you should go there and give it a try!

Buy it!! Buy it!!! Buy it!!!!

MV Agusta website:

And Pro Italia's site:

And these guys will let you take a demo ride before you buy. I don't receive anything if you buy from them. I just like their shop and if you're going to buy a new bike and sell/trade/or consign (which they may do) for a new bike, you may as well give the business to these guys. Oh, and they carry Aprilia and you can demo ride the RSV4 also.

GEEZ man. Give it a CHANCE! It's a DIFFERENT bike. A way different bike than an inline 4. Hell I come from my last two bikes being twins and the Ducati was different from THEM!! It took me months before I started to understand the machine and love it for what it is! Mt son still rides it once in a while and always gets off going HOLY SHIT that is weird but it's FUN. He's ridden it 20 times and at times for quite a distance and he's still not used to it because he used to get back on his inline 4 and thats what he rides everyday. there are times when I can tell he's feeling the bike just by how he rides it. You NEED to get used to it before you say you don;t like it!

That being said you made one hell of a jump on impulse. Probably should think about it a little next time. Like someone said....half of the fun is doing the research. Not only did you go from an inline 4 to an L twin but you jumped 600 freaking CC's and what???60 HP??? don't kill me on that one guys I really guessed on the facts there but even the difference in HP is going to make it feel a bit more jumpy if your throttle control is not GREAT!!

Ride the bike. Feel the bike, give yourself a chance to bond with the thing. Learn to ride a twin. Put a 14t sprocket on the front and it will help a little but as far as I know there is NOTHING you can do about the heat! It's a very hot bike. I've never split lanes before in all my years of riding but with this bike and heavy traffic I Do! I don't know??? Wrap the pipes?

Either all of that OR.......Sell it. WTF man do what works for you. Most of us here LOVE these machines but if you don;t you don't. it's not for everyone.

Peace
Peewee

wear heat proof pants, ceramacote the pipes, addjustable clutch and bigger cylinder, change front sprocket, htfu, and go do a superbike school or something..??

trade u >an 'unusual', but heavily modded 848 with 30,000klm's on it ?

Ducatis are not for everybody. Two of my friends sold their and are now back on 4 cylinder bikes the others are Ducati fans for life. Sell it and get something you will enjoy. Putting more money into it when you are clearly not enjoying it is not the solution, I don't think.
