Ok, so I've been going back and forth for the last month about getting a D900. I have a V1 RAZR right now and I want an upgrade. I'm lookin for feedback on people that have a d900 right now. Positives? Negatives? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Also, where would be the least expensive and most reliable place to get one? I live in the Pac NW of USA and I'm on Cingular.

i'm using one right now...its all in all a great phone, only two problems i have with it is that you cant use mp3 as msg tones, and that it doesnt have the greatest flash, since its a led therefore not the greatest pics in low light situations. I would reccomand one....but really depending on how much u can get your hand on one....

I just bought one -I've just switched from a V1 (Black) Razr. I'm on Rogers in Canada. It has to be the BEST phone I have ever used in terms of features and but also has to be (unfortunately) by far the WORST phone for reception I have EVER used with my provider. Where my Razr held a useable signal, when handing off between fairly close together towers, the D900 will drop it each and every time, as if not to be able to hand off at all.. Based on that I don't even know if I am able to keep using it. I sometimes talk on the phone my entire commute home from work, but when I tested out my first trip with the d900 my call was dropped FIVE TIMES where I didn't even notice anything on my Razr, except the small click from handing off to another tower....so I cannot reccommend this phone to anyone.

Hmm sounds troubling since I'm waiting for my phone to come. I'm hoping at the very least it can't be as bad as my w800i which doesn't have 850 lol

Have you tried reflashing your phone to the latest firmware? I've heard that it's got a bit of a reception boost with it.

I'm going to try that for sure because I absolutely love the features and the style. I do know it has 850 because it gets reception inside my basement where my old Nokia 3390 does not, but even the 3390 holds up WAY better pretty much anywhere outside.

I too had problems with reception in my basement, where I spend a lot of my time. Had to sell it. Continued using my V3 which has amazing reception and have now got a 6270 also with great reception.JB
