I don't know. I am in such a state of confusion. Spine problems has to be one of the worst conditions to deal with because you don't know who to trust, and your spine is your life. You read this board, and are told to be deafly afraid of chiros yet if they never help anyone and they are dangerous, why do they keep getting so much business?

So I went the medical route, doctor, MRI, neuro. HundreRAB of dollars out of my pocket, and I am still at square one. Lots of pain, and no explanation why it is occuring.

I've started noticing what I call the "crunchy back". Sometimes I can feel what is like a crunch or shifting in my back, sometimes in my neck too when I sneeze hard. The shifting does tend to make my pain level worse. The chiro had told me that his belief is that I don't have a disc problem. My problem is with the vertebraes themselves being out of alignment, moving around and hitting nerves.

Does this sound like a logical explanation? Anyone else experience these sensations?

Read up on spondylolisthesis and see if it sounRAB like anything you're experiencing.

The problem many have with chiropractors is that they can do much more harm than good if they "treat" someone without fully knowing what the problem is. They sometimes take an x-ray and proceed to treat based on that, when in reality a MRI is needed to see the soft tissue and musculature that can be important in making a diagnosis.

SounRAB like I might have this condition. Unfortunatley, it doesn't sound any better than having a herniated disc. Would this show up on a Xray or MRI though?

A chiro helped my Mom, it was the only thing that ever helped my Mom. For me a chiro made my back problems worse. It's all a matter of your own option. Best Wishes in feeling better.
