Thinking about getting an electric fan for a 1999 Wrangler Sport?

How much will I gain from the engine?
I off road a lot, and go through water /mud pits a lot, will the fan short-out if too much water gets to it?
Any other information I should know?

the fan wont short out if you submerge it if you have a kill switch on the fan. electric fans are built to withstand some water as in a heavy rain, but not complete submergence. however, if you submerge completely, you'll have more problems than a shorted out fan!

youll want want to wire in a manual turn on switch as well as a manual kill switch.
