Thinking about getting a monster 696

I haven't tracked mine but a couple other guys around town have and had a blast on them. One of them tracks an R6 and the other 2 are on Gixxer 600's and the 696 hasn't got the same power but it's torque is fun out of corners. The bike seems to work well for them. They don't own 848's or 1098's so can't compare it to them. They say the bike is stable and fairly easy to turn in and hold a line. It gives them a big grin.

I have lots of fun in the twisties with mine. It's a really light bike that you can throw around and it feels very planted on the ground.

You would have to do some mods before you can compete with R6's / 675 etc on the track. On paper the 696 sucks when you do a comparison between some of the other 600's ( except it's the lightest ).

But then again, it's no use having a fast bike on the track if you can't ride
