Thinking about getting a Kawasaki Ninja 650R...?

I'm thinking about getting a Kawasaki Ninja 650R as my first bike. I've been riding a dirt bike for a long time and know how to handle bikes. I've done some research on different bikes and brands, but I'd like to hear some feedback from people who actually own one of these bikes. The main reason I'm looking at it is because it's cheap, good on gas, and I'd only be driving it to work. I'm not looking to go race it or get from 0mph to 100mph all the time, but I'd like to know if it had at least a little kick to it...so just give me feedback on it and rate it a 1-10 with 10 being the best, for a first time bike.
