Things you hate about the cinema! (Rant)

Those who can't go a couple of hours without food, it wouldn't bother me if they were quiet but they're annoying and always take ages to open a bag of crisps or a sweet wrapper.

Lately pretty much everything, the people.
The noise.
The 30mins of trailers before a 2 1/2 hour film.
This bloody 3d business (overated).
The noise.
The people.

I feel like turning round sometimes and asking for their address so i can go into their front room and prat about.

Who the hell pays

I agree with most of what you say bar the trailers, i think the trailers are the best part of the movie lol.
But the people and noise do annoy me too, don't get me wrong i love my nachos but if when the film starts i stop eating them, ruins my movie too.

Popcorn.

It's a poor fooRABtuff anyway and cheap to make, which is why it intially became part of the cinema 'experience' years ago). If dropped it's sticky and if eaten it's noisy. There is no need to eat while watching a film - it's not that long.

The long trailers - and the fact that the trailers often turn out better than the film they are advertising. I've taken to allowing 20 minutes after the start of the 'programme' before taking my seat.

Must add the adverts for local businesses. In Streatham (and when there were two cinemass they both used to show the same adverts) it was always Peacock's of Balham (dodgy 2nd hand cars) and a local Indian Restaurant - even after the latter closed down they still advertised it for a while.

As stated in the 'chavs' thread: people who bring young children to the film when they must know the kid/s will not be able to sit still and quiet for the duration - thus annoying the other customers.

Oh, the thing I hate most is the fact that the Odeon in my town is FREEZING COLD!

The air conditioning is obscene, and it's not pleasant for a two hour film, or even a 90 min film!

OMG i agree with this, why do cinemas think they need to blast air conditioning into the cinema for the full movie...especially in the winter.
The past few times i've had to put my coat on midway through the movie as i was sooooo cold.

People EATING all the time.

You are surrounding by the chomping of molars and the smell of popcorn etc.

WHY do people find it necessary to eat non-stop throughout a film?
It's like some sort of gastronomic marathon.

KiRAB running up and down the cinema during a film performance(namely a couple of years ago in The Clapham Picturehouse watching The Others!).

The millions of trailers and adverts before the film!

Cinemas not allowing alcohol into the cinema(although one or two do nowadays).

Prices(both for food and drink, and the tickets).

In the winter times not having the heating on, and in summertime not having the air con on!

Some of the online booking systems not working(namely Odeon seem to bad at that!).

Lack of choice in releases nowadays. Moon getting a limited released(and District 9 as well).
