Things to write to my boyfriend at marine boot camp?

I know I should tell him how proud i am of him and support him, but aside from that, what were some things you liked to hear when you were away? For instance should i write about my day as well? I just want to make him feel better while he's there
 
Yes, it would be good to tell him what you have been doing...unless it pertains to going out with other guys. The only thing I would advise against is a letter that goes on and on about how much you miss him. That only makes it more difficult because I am sure he misses you too. Stay positive and upbeat. Boot camp can be a very hard time.
