Thick black line on the side of printed paper -- should I be worried?

Hello,

Recently my hp 1018 printer started to leave black region on one side of the paper, I know this might be because the cartiradge is damaged, probably this is because I often refill the ink rather than bying a new cartiradge.

Actually the black line/area on the printed papers doesn't bother me, I use the printed papers for personal use only, so I don't care if there's a black line on the paper, but I want to know if this might cause a damage to the head of the printer or not?

Should I replace the cartiradge with a new one or continue refilling the old one? Thank you!

PS : I refill ink to cut down costs, becuase I print hundreds of papers every day. So I want to know wether or not this will damage the printer head.
