The main plot is the Cure (along with the Phoenix problem).

From the trailer Mystique looks cured, while Rogue wants it.

Who do you think will be cured?
Who do you think should be cured?

In X1 Magneto tried to mutate all human leaders, so curing him would bring the trilogy full circle...
