My parents have been married for 25 years but always argue about the stupidest things. On top of it, they put me in the middle and almost make me choose sides. I never do, but I always am trying to be the mediator between them and they never listen to anything I have to say regarding their relationships and keep on bickering. So now I don't bother saying anything and just try to keep out of it.
I just feel really bad for my mom sometimes. She always wants to talk to me and get my input whenever her and my dad argue. My dad is such a jerk to her and I'm really busy with my life and sometimes can't always be there for her and feel really guilty. I plan on leaving home to go to grad school soon too and sometimes just feel really bad for leaving my mom because I fear she won't have anyone else.
I guess what I'm asking is, is there anyway to help this situation? I hate feeling this guilt but don't know what to do cause they just keep arguing and divorce is out of the question..
