I have an AP History assignment, and one question is "What is Diamond's thesis?" This is what I came up with
"Diamond's thesis is that environmental issues plagued ancient civilizations as it does today. The ancients either chose to ignore the issues or try to find a way to fix it. Also, human interaction played a part such as conquest and disease. Manipulation of nature and climate changes drastically affected the ancients way of life, thus the reason why some civilizations failed or succeeded."
Would you agree with this thesis or not?
