Funeral doom is beautiful, but it's not exactly accessible. Sometimes funeral doom will not click with you unless you know how it feels to lose a family meraber. Sometimes it still won't click after that.

However, some people like funeral doom without ever having lost anyone.

I guess you just have to try it out.
