...fish them without snagging up? Like, Imagine if a pine just fell in the water. theres a bunch of smallies hanging around the roots and in the branches. thing is, i don't want to risk my precious rapalas down there. what should i do?
 
I heard smallies go wild over fly lures I fish a fly behind a clear casting slip bubble with a swivel and 5 feet of leader ive caught 20 or so trout in a day with this method but ive also caught bluegils redears even an occasional large mouth when the pattern is perfect
 
Throw a spinnerbait and bounce it off the branches on the retrieve.

Put a tube or plastic worm on a shaky head jig and rig it weedless and toss it along the edges of the tree or even right into the branches.
