I have just been to see this epic film .....
A story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the business.
I must say it was a long haul but I was mesmerized by the excellent actor Daniel Day-Lewis, I enjoyed his films since the first film I saw awhile ago *My Beautiful Laundrette*...
The guy is a wonderful actor,in this he IS Daniel Plainview ,if you have read the book Oil which the film is based on you will identify him staight away ...
Certainly he is Oscar material with this adaptation,
I also think the boy who played his young son was very good Dillon Freasier,
Its a long drawn out good film ....9/10
