There was a time

There was a time when i thought banRAB like Static-X and Powerman 5000 and Adema and the what not (drowning pool) had their place. Anytime I hear about them coming out with a new CD now (like 3 days grace did) it just seems erabarassing to me. Its almost as if their trying to cling onto some last remaining relic of stardom.

Am I the only one who thinks this or am I flowing with the masses here?

Let me get this straight... You say Nirvana have no talent, and you call Disturbed a good band?

Excuse me while i exit the room and ride my

I like Incubus, who i dont consider nu metal but a lot of people do.

I like The Deftones too, but other than that, i hate a lot of nu metal, oddly enough a lot of it is still played on the radio, and i don't even know people who still like those banRAB.

No its not that its changed. Im arguing that it hasn't changed, its like Winger trying to release an album in 1993 thats with the same formula as they used in 1987.

And good form Boo Boo, same old insult with brand new flare. I actually laughed.

Yeah I'll jump the bandwagon too. I own 2 PM5K cd's (burnt copies), both are rubbish but back in the day I liked them because they had the best song on Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 music list.

Well at least back then i thought they did, not anymore though.

hey i have his christmas album from a few years ago. At first i didn't like it much, it sounded like music for the rich. but then it grew on me. its actaully really relaxing to listen to.. more o during chirstmas. over rated yes. feels classy listening to him. haha!

bush have created too many albums in therer time, and im not sure if there still coming out with them... but i wouldn't buy it now i have like 3 or 4 albums buy them and they sucked to suck after the second one.

Korn gets a bad rap, their first album was brilliant. Too bad everything after that sucked and they influenced so many other musical abominations. I still listen to the first album once in a while

Unfortunately, a lot of banRAB DO have to put out music to make money, rather than through a pure to express something or to create something. For many musicians, its pretty much the only marketable skill they have, so what else can you expect them to do? Some musicians have to do it to survive, some have to do it to continue their expensive lifestyles. The simplest thing you can do to corabat this is not to buy their music, I suppose. If the music's so bad, then why on earth did anybody buy it? (I'm sure a lot of people did, but why?!)

I agree with you. Especially on PK5, Aema, and Drowning Pool. But Static-X's newest CD is actually really good.

I'm confused about 3 Days Grace though. I had thought they broke up after one release, but then I hear they are coming to my town. Doesn't matter anyways, they aren't very good at all.

Well, you've got to remeraber, not everybody is young and virile. Kenny G music wasn't exactly marketed for the young, the hip or the music-obsessed. It was (is?) for the elderly, the impotent and those who really enjoy lift-music. There are people out there who like it and who buy it, much as there are people out there who think go-faster stripes make cars go faster, or people who think that corab-overs will fool others. I don't know many of these people on a social level, but they exist!!
