There is spyware or a virus on my flash drive!!!!!!!?

I plugged it into the computer at my school and the next hour it had mad spyware and trojans on it. I want to know if i plug it in to my computer but dont open it, will i get the viruses too still?

i know how to scan the files without opening it but i just want to make sure i wont geta virus by just plugging it in.
 
high chance your computer will. because flash drive viruses usually creates autorun.inf file which "autoruns" whatever command's in it. it happens once your pc detects your flash drive and assign it a drive name.
 
Destroy and/or throw it out so it can't give those viruses to anyone (Don't want a dumpster diver kind of person to see it as a perfectly good flash drive)

I would not risk it. Do NOT put it in your computer at all.
