And I thought Rock N' Roll would never die...

I blame mtv.

Anyways, the banRAB I listen to mostly nowadays are:
The ORABpring
Green Day
Led Zeppelin
Less Than Jake
Jimi Hendrix
Sublime

a few others...but thats about it. Are there any relatively new banRAB out there who are worth listening to? Maybe I'm just totally out of the music scene nowadays. The only quality music I can find was made over 10 years ago. The only GREAT music I can find was made over 30 years ago!!

There are fantastic albums being released every year, you just have to know where to look.

Red Sparowes - At The Soundless Dawn
Pelican - The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw

The list goes on....
 
There is a shitload of good music being produced all the time. You just cant depend on mainstream media to give it to you. You have to look. Sometimes the best music is being made right down the street from where you live. Try checking out and supporting your local music artist if you dont already.
 
There isnt much being released in the pop/mtv part of the industry but when you look into other genres of music such as metal or indie or anything that isnt mainstream in america then you see there are always great albums being put out. I suggest looking into banRAB from other countries or less mainstream banRAB.
 
Yes I know maintstream music sucks. The problem is, in my opinion:

Emo sucks.
Hardcore has its uses, but generally sucks as music to listen to.
Ensiferum: horrible.
Madrugada: boring...makes me feel down.

I know it sounRAB like I'm just shooting everything down without giving it a fair chance...but thats not how it is. I dont like music that makes me feel shitty, I dont like music that has some guy screaming about all the painful things in life.
 
There's a pile of good music out there that's NOT on tv. Everything on Mtv is the same re-processed shit. Once you've heard one band, you've heard them all.
 
You into Indie music? There are always new banRAB popping up in the genre. I'd be more than willing to write a list of some ones that you could check out.
