THEATRE WORK BEHIND THE SCENES IN BIG PRODUCTIONS.?

I am 17 years old from Sydney Australia and I am looking for work placement for a week in August 2011 at a professional theatre preferably behind the scenes of the actual production (not ushering at the theatre). I have had past experience working with ABC and Channel 9 I am also a frequent participator in amateur theatre and am looking for a career in that field. I am currently working of my VET degree in Entertainment.

How do I get in contact with people in the professional theatre productions?

Please give me advice on how to tackle this dilemma.
