If you've ever wanted to read every single on-the-record statement ever made by Mark Zuckerberg, oh boy are you are in luck.
The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that Michael Zimmer, an assistant professor in the School of Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee is building a comprehensive archive of the Facebook founder’s every word to be called “The Zuckerberg Files.”
Via Marc Parry of the Chronicle of Higher Education:
Zimmer has been tracking Facebook's evolving stance on privacy issues for a while now. In 2010, he co-authored a column in the Huffington Post with fellow academic Chris Hoofnagle which labeled “information-intensive” firms such as Facebook as “Machiavellis of privacy.
One other thing, listening to hours of Zuckerberg talking is apparently no easy feat (and one that Miller outsourced). Parry gets this awesome detail: “(Zuckerberg's) mannerisms quickly grated on the students who spent hours listening to the Facebook CEO’s voice as they helped Mr. Zimmer build his archive."

The project is an online archive that attempts to collect every public utterance made by Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook founder and chief executive, including blog posts, magazine interviews, TV appearances, letters to shareholders, public presentations, and other events. The archive runs from a 2004 interview with The Harvard Crimson to more recent fare, like Mr. Zuckerberg’s comments at an event The Atlantic held last month in Washington, D.C.
The idea is to keep Zuckerberg honest when it comes to his evolution on privacy issues. The archive’s bibliography and metadata will be available to the public (the full archive available to scholars).
