This truly troubled lad commited suicide in the end. not on stage though, which was his dream. This is quite watered down stuff compared to some of the stuff he did on stage.

gaaahh, diggin' myself a hole.. look, to me, when I watch that video, i see a man who's mind is rotting on the inside. he is still a brilliant musician, but some of his motions, the things he does look like he's been wasted far too frequently for far too long.

He wasn't really doing anything heavy in '67. Got into speed and the like in his later years, I've read.

But yeah, I guess I can see why someone might see him as 'rotting on the inside'. Apparently he suffered from depression, and when he drank a lot, it really showed (trashing hotel rooms and whatnot), so...
