The Yes Man - Your thoughts?

Never said it wasn't going to be OTT, just that it wasn't going to be another Bruce Almighty and that you where prejudging it. The empire review is pretty much spot on to what I was expecting.


Nothing personal about my resolutions.

It's more to do with having pointless arguments with people on forums. Especially the little respect (edited myself from saying what I really feel about these people) I have more 90% of the people on them.


I really think I should get myself banned from this place, as it will do my blood pressure and regard for the human race some considerable good :D
 
Yes, I lost a bet (honestly) and was forced to go see it. I found it really hard going, so bad in fact that it put me off my popcorn.
 
It's a funny film, not one to be taken too seriously. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a deep kind of film, but a must if you want a bit of a laugh!
 
It was a predictable Jim Carrey movie, but thats not really a bad thing because he's good at what he does. I was laughing out loud all the way through. Actually one of my favourite Carrey films.
 
Just back from seeing it, thought it was pretty good, nothing spectacular, but still quite enjoyable with some good laugh out loud scenes.

You could tell it was a Warner Bros. film though... "Harry Potter" DVD's and posters were referenced several times at the start and later at the themed party, as was the "300" DVD and themed party, Witches of Eastwick DVD's, several DVD's in the store at the beginning were all quite visible and all Warner films... could there have been any more references to other films from Warner? Maybe the rights were easier to sort out (if even required) but my god... Warner everywhere! Warner!!!

I went to see it the other day with my BF, he told me it was this amazing book that was ever so funny and that the film was going to be amazing aswell, all i can say is that i wasted 2 hours of my life watching a complete load of sh*t. I can't stand JC by the way so maybe thats why i personally didn't enjoy it.
