The X Files: I want To Believe

Watched this for the first time tonight and as much as I enjoyed it it wasnt really an X-File. Didnt have much paranormal stuff in it at all. Billy Connelly playing the pychic pedo priest was about the only X-File feel to it. Mulder and Scully not being in the FBI and actually living together just felt weird as the sexual tension between them always made the series a bit more special.

Just wondered what other people thought about the film.

I agree, was there anything "X" in the film ?? scully kept moaning about not wanting to help & mulder seemed to have lost his marbles.
I expected alot but for me it didn't deliver

Glad I'm not alone in this. I said to my fiancee about half way through 'whats the X-File about this?'. The psychic pedo priest was the only thing about it, the rest was just your everyday thriller film.

Mulder and Scully being together took away all the sexual tension that made the connection between them through the series so great 'will they wont they' and all that.

I know Chris Carter said the film wouldnt be about anything from the series so that your average Joe Bloggs can understand it but surely they could've done better then that.
