Saw an interview the other day with Gillian Anderson. She said the sequel will pick up in real time, so the time elapsed since the finale is the amount of time that would have passed for Mulder and Scully. Aside from that she was pretty tight lipped; although she seems to have slipped back into her American accent, although it sounded as dodgy as the British one she uses on any chat show filmed over here, lol.
