...for me it's this last one, 2006. that is the WORST world cup final i have ever seen.

it was as though except the italians, everyone wanted France to win because it was its legendary players' last tournament especially Zidane who had been great in it.

Italy won the world cup luckily, dirtily, and with non-sportsmanship throughout the whole tournament (against Australia, Ukraine, USA, France), while France played every game until their last breath and like it was their last (which actually was).

but that's football, a lot of times teams who don't really deserve to win, win.

2006 final worst ever.....i support brazil and i wouldve hoped it to be france aand brazil but italy...... italy are nothing but cheaters and actors who dont play buetiful football, i think us brasilians and the french cud get past 1998 and i thought it would be the greatest final ever brasil and france but no it was italy and france ....but it was ruined zidane vs ronaldihno........ henry vs ronaldo........ adriano vs trezeguet..... kaka vs malouda.......robinho vs ribery......but this cup was ruined.....shame....... just a shame

But certainly 2002 is the worst World Cup because some referees are absolutely blind.

I think Italia is worth to win 2006. They have to endure huge pressure of being accussed for cheating in the Serie A. They were expected to collapse early but they kept on fighting till the end. We could applaud for their brave and strong will.

I don't think they cheated. The Austrilian defender DO cut down Grosso though many people said Italian diving. The defender DO try to stop him by a foul and Grosso only catch that opportunity to get a penalty goal. This is cheating? I don't think so.

As for Zidane Materazzi. You only see Materazzi as a devil. But what Zidane have done is all right? Never he did animus foul? After being showed a red card for cut down Crotian Bilic in1998 he should rethink his unreasonable behave but he do not.

Something is hard to explain completely clear because it is all Italiana matters.
 
@MDS - Dude shut up just because your team lost doesn't mean you have to say the World Cup winners were cheaters.

The worst was 1998, it was clearly planned.
 
ur full of it,,,,, italy has always been known to have the top deffenders in the world,,,,,,,,and defence wins champinchips.

besides the previous WC they were rubbed by the koreans
 
2006 was certainly not the worst....there was action, goals at least. The worst was 1994 USA---Italy vs. Brazil in what should have been a classic for the ages......the two most storied teams from Europe and S. America, but what turned into a snoozer. 120 minutes without a goal. The only thing at all memorable was Roberto Baggio skying a PK over the bar. Horrible.
