I am having a very hard time understanding why you have decided to champion this cause. OlegL came on her (once again) and threw a tantrum. That's all it was. It is not the first time. When he started the "some people on..." thread, I made a suggestion that he do things in a more positive light. He ignored my suggestion. BIG TIME!
Now, with the above post, you have reassured him that it is totally acceptable to act like an immature 8 year old. Nice going, really the way to help out a new BT member learn how to address conflict!

I like a lot of people here. Some of them are mods. Others are site owners. One of the people I like happens to be you, sez. I enjoy the conversations I have with these people. The one common denominator among all of the people I enjoy- they would NEVER act like OlegL has. Never!
What is the point in any of us (who generally have all of the sites we need) to continue to come here? Is it the joy of adulation when we give out invites to new members? I don't think that would be enough of a reason to come here daily. How about flaming idiots? I'll admit, that has its moments, but it still is not a draw for those of us who have other things to do (school, work, watching paint dry).
I will argue that a lot of us come here because we enjoy the community. Like any community, there are acceptable ways to act. These "norms" are enforced by those in the community. If someone breaks an established norm, they are chastised, shunned, or somehow told that their action(s) are unacceptable.
OlegL's actions were VERY unacceptable. And they were very counter-productive to finding any remedy to his conflict. Now he has NO chance of ever being reinstated. I also argue (like I did before) that he has also hurt his chances of expanding his BT "world". Would you want to recommend anyone who acted like this? I sure as hell would not.
The comments made towards OlegL in this thread, by myself and others, were intended to help him control the damage that he was doing to himself. I would also argue that this thread may have also done some good to others who may have acted in the same manner, but saw how much of a "pounding" he took and probably will learn the same lesson as OlegL without having to pay the price.
In the grand scheme, I could not care less about OlegL. I do think that threads like this CAN help the community. I do not believe, in this instance, that you have done anything here except reinforce the notion that it is acceptable to throw tantrums because "he was treated unfairly".

You bring this kind of negativity on yourself when you make posts like this. You will never get positive results with negativity.
FST is a great place to discuss issues. It is how you go about creating the discussion that makes all the difference.
Next time you have a problem, instead of making a negative post about someone who cannot defend their position (cowardly, BTW), why not post a topic about making a mends with trackers you have been banned on/or mods you have had a "spat" with.
You will get some good advice. Many people have been through the same thing as you. Some have been smart/tactful enough to actually remedy the problem. By creating this thread, you have burned all bridges behind you (with the site and its admins) AND you have burned bridges ahead of you by creating a bad reputation/image of yourself. I could not possible justify filling a [REQ] for you. I also could not justify mediating a situation for you.

Yeah, they put a lot of effort into running their tracker, but that doesn't mean they are good people...

What is the purpose of this poll? What good is going to come out of it? Do you think members are going to boycott the site or something? I understand if you got banned and are upset but too keep harping on it will not do you any good! I have never been a member at HDB so I have no experience with their staff. Really I can't hate on any staff member of any site. I never had a problem with staff anywhere!

Having a poll against staff from atracker that by reading above I am guessing has banned you is a bitter and twisted way to live.
You need to learn that this is the internet not real life.
Torrenting to me is a hobby if you turn it into more you lose the enjoyment level which this poll to me shows you have.

That's not the point. The point is that they have a truly bizarre mentality and the hdbits/sdbits staff is the only staff in the bittorrent world that has this mentality.

Euh, no offense to anyone but I've been warned and temporarily kicked from lesser trackers for upping/offering "non-standard" uploads. This has nothing to do with scene-rules (whatever they are sometimes) but just because I upped things that didn't go down with staff that well.
So? Yeah, maybe OlegL was treated not too nicely but no doubt there have been loads of FAQs and rules on either site and one of those has been broken at some point. And in the end, I think that a staffer and in some situations, site-owners can remove/disable/ban people for anything (!!!), no reason given, regardless of the status of that member with or without any donations made ever. A tracker is no democracy, will never be so when you get tru your thick skull, you should be fine anywhere else!

No m8 if they see you on there trackers/sites may well be wary of your actions and slightest thing you will be banned as pre-judged on things like this.
I know I would be watching people on GTi who posted things like this about other staff as who knows who you would want to have a go at next.
