Why put it forward as a serious question then?
If you want want fun and a laugh all good and well but this I do not think was the initial reason for the thread here.

I don't think that staffers at hdbits and sdbits really care about people who post at FST, so I don't think I will have any problems on other trackers.

But I miss their irc channel. Even though I said in another thread that people in the #hdbits channel are shitty, I only meant it from one perspective. I actually miss those people.
 
Youse the one that needs to take those chill pills.I don't think am the only one who has seen staffers have a go at it in a more wicked way than this and if you really took time to know why this guy was banned,you wouldn't be on his neck like the way you are now.It doesn't reflect well on you or your site when you make posts suggesting that you would happily ban him if he was on your tracker then proceed to hand over his IP and personal details to a third party just coz he made this thread(you need some marketing 101 classes by the way as I don't see this as the proper marketing language for a site that just chucked).

His approach to the situation may not have been the best out there but your lectures are largely being unfair(its like you are threatening him or something)

I have banned very few people in 5 yrs of staffing/owning sites it is a last resort as far as I am concerned.


So over all I suggest you in future read what I put and not assume you know what I am thinking.

When you can find where I have literally said where I would trade his IP you are welcome to slate me as much as you want, but until then get the facts right and don't after the event try and make me look bad assuming you know what I am thinking :)

It is not the best approach the situation, which seems to have happened a while back. I do not see him saying that as if he was threatening the OP at all! More like saying if he creates a poll for every tracker he gets banned from, or keeps hammering on this one site then that may happen. Saw it as advice.

Just my unsolicited $.02...

Saying that something exists, like IP alerts among site owners, (and it does happen) and being an active participant are two very different things. Telling a drunk driver that the police are looking for drunk drivers is a long ways from, "If you leave the house, I will call the cops." And the second statement might even be seen as responsible by some. I certainly don't want drunk drivers on the road and I don't want belligerent, loud-mouth children running around in the sites I enjoy.

FWIW, had Duckater made the same posts to me that he did to OLegL (and I pray I am never THAT STUPID), I would not see his comments as threatening. If anything, Duckater was too patient with OLegL and spent too much time trying to calm him. I certainly don't (as you can probably tell from my posts in this thread) have any more patients or nice things to say to OLegL. :noes:
 
Well you are saying a lot of different things about the site in these posts maybe you should have left it a while and really thought about what you wanted to say before throwing a load of :shit: about
 
Well, it's partially humorous and partially serious. FST is a great place to discuss staff members from different trackers.

I was raised and still live on the principle that respect is a two way traffic.If you show me none,there is no way you'll be seeing any coming from me(and thats how self respecting men live,right?).You insisting that OLegL shows deference to people who treated him like dirt calling him a retard for not knowing the technical aspects of encoding translates to you advising him to suck up to them as much as he shouldn't(mind you something that he had already tried and failed at even before you suggested it to him) and that in essence is what would make him a child.Going down swinging(as unorthodox as his method has been)is what a real self respecting person does and for that i've recognized him(even though futile).

I don't necessarily agree with his thread let alone care(I don't even know the names he's polling on)but its not for us to pretend to be high-minded people who have a license to pass judgement.He got mistreated and banned unjustly and if this is his way of saying am now ready to move on then so be it.

You've also brought image several times and to tell you the truth its what ails this forum at times.There are people who make posts just for the sake of it(alot of times i'll fall under this category) then there are those who make them just to gain favor with staffers or as part of their grand scheme for the next big catch(too much politics that I don't wanna get into).This is partly why I feel nauseated when browsing through TPS and sadly its starting to take effect on here too and apart from a few,alot of staffers and members are falling for this horse shit.

Moving on though,have you thought of a situation where OLegL isn't upto any favors or invites for that matter?don't you think this lack of need ultimately defeats the purpose of self censorship?What image is to keep really?

Finally i've seen you and rart suggest that its their tracker and they are at will to do whatever tha fuck they want with it or the members for that matter(i'll pause and ask you,does that statement really sound fair/right/correct or true for an objective thinker?).If it was their tracker,would it even be in existence today?its people like OLegL through their donations,bandwidth and time that have built hdbits into what it is today,same applies to many other sites.So you trying to justify this hooligan haphazard ban along this line is improper(and I recall linking you to something about how stiffler(once a staffer) got banned from scT when you were all on staffers always being right/correct/fair.)

Anyways,I don't really know who OLegL is,never talked to him but as much as this thread has been a bad idea,the spirit behind it is more than justified.Am sure hdbits is not run by kiddies but hell those who run it sure acted like kiddies on OLegL and his ban.

I have not said I would hand over his ip and have not said I would ban him, have said glad he does not appear to be a member.
So I suggest you re-read what I have put.
Yes I did say take a chill pill.
If he was a member would not be banned from GTi for this, people only get banned from GTi for actions there, but I do know trackers that will ban for this sort of thing, which is why I was trying to, at times a lighthearted way i.e. the chill pill comment (common phrase around my area), get him realise the way he as approached this is not the best method.
