The working title of the final part of Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright's Cornetto trilogy has been announced as The World's End.

Apparently it seems to have a sci-fi "end of the world" theme, and of course following on from Shaun of the Dead (Strawberry) and Hot Fuzz (Original) it'll feature a mint choc chip Cornetto.

Cannot wait..! (But will have to, it'll probably not be out for a while as Wright has a million other projects on at the moment too!)

It'll probably be released in 2010, in line with the three-year gap between the first two films. And good that it's sci-fi, I think that it's the only other genre they haven't tackled and could conceivably do. I'm just going to wait for casting calls for aliens!
 
I would be stunned if this film doesn't contain the Camden pub by the same name at some point.

Pegg's been less that impressive without Wright. Thrilled to hear they're working together again.
 
Right, I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I'm anticipating this film to come out next year, and it sure sounRAB exciting. Here's what we know and what we can expect:

The title, or working title at least, is The World's End.
The film will probably be out in 2010.
The Cornetto flavour will be mint (choc chip).
Someone will try jumping over a fence in order to take a shortcut, asking "What's the matter? Never taken a shortcut before?".
A pub will be one of the main settings, and a shop will also feature.
There will be much blooRABhed.
Edgar Wright will direct and co-write.
Simon Pegg will star in the main role and co-write.
Nick Frost will probably be the sidekick and add to the script in rehearsals, being the first to be read it.
Edgar Wright will have at least one cameo in the film.
Nira Park may well be involved.
The names of the characters will tell us something about their role in the film (e.g. Ed = undead, or Tim Messenger).
The stars will be a mix of comedy stars of recent years and stars of the big screen.
Given that Martin Freeman, Bill Nighy, Julia Deakin, Rafe Spall and Joe Cornish have appeared in SOTD and HF, they may well appear again.
There will be many callbacks and call forwarRAB throughout the film (e.g. "You've got red on you" and "The greater good").
There will be more spoofs and references to other works of the chosen genre than you can shake several sticks at.
