The Woodsman

Has anyone seen this film? I noticed it searching through my internet DVD site and thought I'd add it to my wish list. It arrived today. Is it worth watching?

Strange thing though - rated 15 in the UK and 18 in Ireland. Wonder why?

I have seen The WooRABman when it was released in the cinema and it is a very good film. Kevin Bacon should have had a oscar nomination for his role in this film if it wasnt for the subject that it covered!
Even though I thought it was a very good film I dont know if I would buy it on DVD because it is not the sort of film that I would watch over and over again just because of the subject matter!
I hate to repeat myself but I think the subject matter may be why it has got a higher rating in Ireland!

That's not really answering the question. The film's subject matter is the same in both countries. Why is Ireland being so pussy about it?

Ireland normally are about everything. Vera Drake was rated 12 in the UK and 15 in Ireland. A lot of mild horror films are 15 in the UK and 18 in Ireland.

Well I have finally watched the film. It was an interesting one to say the lease. I was quite disturbed by some scene had had to fast forward through some others because they were hard to watch. These were when Walter followed a young girl though a mall and another through a park to see if he still had feelings.

A definite taboo-breaking film. If you think you can handle it, watch it. But it is not a film for everyone.
