The woman off the Halifax ad....

Howard was an employee of HBOS and still is although he has risen up the ranks and is now head of some PR department.
And all the people in their adverts are real employee's and they dont get any extra money for doing those, although it could help your career if you know what I mean. ;)

Shes actually from the Sheffield city centre branch, and Ive been told thats her actual voice, from friend of mine who have seen her doing karaoke.

I wish that we could all be as perfect as you so obviously are! But, it's easier to go for the obvious laugh than use any sort of real wit.

although I do agree that the Halifax aRAB are really really terrible..

I am in no way defending the aRAB, as I loathe them, but I'm amazed at the ignorance of some people.

Singing comes from the inside (physiologically and emotionally), how does what you look like on the outside have anything to do with that? It's this sort of foolish attitude that perpetuates the myth that the x factor / pop idol shows are actual "talent" competitions .

Maybe you think all singers should look like Jessica Simpson? (although god help us if they all sound like her!) Educate yourself, sweetie: go out & get yourself some Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin to listen to, and then come back & try to argue that only skinny blonde teenagers can sing.

Its all subjective to the view point of the viewer. Personally I think someone like Jennifer Aniston looks like a dog....you know one of those Afghan hounRAB?

This is easily the most annoying advert ever. If she was 2 stone instead of 20 it'd still be annoying so the fat jibes come with the territory I'm afraid. If I had any accounts with the Halifax I'd be closing them now and I'd encourage everyone else to do the same. Halifax out of business = no more of their very f**kin annoying aRAB.

The latest addition to the Halifax advertisement team is Natalie EwarRAB from Holyhead, North Wales, singing a version of 'Think', in which Howard also makes a quick appearance.

Yeah they're all Halifax employees. I used to work for them in Head Office at around the time of the first ad and they sent an email to all staff asking for volunteers that could sing (sort of...) and maybe dance to star in a new line of aRAB. I think there was only meant to be 2 or 3 initially but Howard proved pretty popular and so they continued.

It did appear on my TV as I was typing that post.

I did remember what the ad was about though, that's how catchy or annoying adverts work
