well, I guess that I am the only one who thought it was Michelle McManus!!! o:o:o

re-inventing her "singing career" ;) - well sort of...... :o

The halifax adverts used to be lovely - Moon River (the people making up the bridge) and Our House (the people making up the house) were really clever adverts and a real favourite of the time.

Now they are awful and do nothing to inspire me to bank with them! I wish they'd reshow the old ones instead!

random question!

the woman who sings in the current account advert who's accompanied by all the dancers in the street - is that actually her singing do you think or a voiceover? Isn't it true all the people who star in Halifax aRAB are real employees of the company? (that Howard guy in the glasses springs to mind)

#extra.....extra.....EXTRA!!!!#

What should she be doing exactly? Sheepishly skulking through the ad looking apologetic?

God forbid they let big people on TV.

Cant stand the Halifax adRAB.

I dont think its her actually singing as she looks to plain jane to have that voice. I hate everything about that advert, she looks so smug. Dont get me started on Howard.

I'm surprised by some of the remarks about the singer. I think she carries herself (and her weight) well; nice hair and face, good mover, can't see the problem.

Some one at advertising must like the Blues Brothers film and album, this is the second ad to incorperate a Blues Brothers song parody.

Shame, i am subsequently embarassed about liking the cheery blues brothers songs (more so than usual anyway,) and am forced to turn the sound down in the car, in case anyone relates the awful aRAB to the real songs.

So Moby Dick does have a fan? You can see the earth shudder when she lanRAB after that 'jump'.

As for her voice, don't get me started.

Yes all the stars are HBoS employees. You have to audition to appear in the aRAB.

If you work for HBoS (as I do) you can open that account and benefit from the high interest without having to pay
