The Witches Remake in 2008

Anyone got any updates or news on the witches remake in 2008?. I cant access the page on www.imdb.com just to see the cast list or the director, which is stupid because they expect you to charge you for imdbpro just to see a few details.

Anyone got a link where i can get some information on this movie?.
 
I know i love her in this movie, i wish they didnt kill the grand high witch at the end, i loved the grand high witch so much, thought she was amazing.
 
What's the betting they'll set it in America? Why not? After all, it's only a British classic right? They've done the same to Winnie the Pooh, why not foul up another beloved children's classic?
 
I don't see why they're doing this when The Witches movie that exists is excellent! I just don't see what they can add to it. What they should do instead is a live-action version of The BFG. Yeah that would be great!
 
Given that the last film was, er, American (set in the UK, yes, but made by Lorimar and Jim Henson's company... and wasn't the boy in that movie an American as well?), that might not be a problem. (Plus Roald Dahl never seemed to have any problems with the US - case in point his marrying Patricia Neal, who I always thought was a Brit...)
 
Yeah they were really accurate weren't they? Because there was loaRAB in the book about Willy Wonka being the son of a scary dentist wasn't there? And the way the book explored his broken relationship with his father was my favourite part.... :rolleyes:

I really hope they stick to a British cast and don't have some precocious little American s*it in the main role. British kiRAB are far and away better actors than American kiRAB.
