The White Stripes

dont make yourself sound so stupid... I was just being sarcastic, because I've already explained in another thread that the correct spelling is
***Led Zeppelin***
no big deal though

There is not fact in music TheBig3KilledMyRainDog, only opinion. But anyone with any understanding of music knows the White Stripes mean little in the overall scheme of rock music.

I laughed so hard at this. Unfan, that was awesome.

You're still an idiot though, I mean, that picture proves my point, you think he's a douche so you don't listen....mission accomplished.

I actually voted that before I read your post. But I personally went through a pretty big White Stripes phase when I was a bit younger so at one point I owned all their albums. After purchasing this album (White Blood Cells) I never looked back at the other alubums, while I don' t mean that literally, I never found the other albums up to par with this one. Even after Icky Thump was released, I just dont think this band can do any better than they did with White Blood Cells.

How about this one: I think "You don't know what love is" sounRAB like a corabination of three songs...

Quinn the Eskimo
Signs (Tesla version)
[unknown]

I think theres a third song in there, but I can hear the other two in there for sure. Your thoughts?

I'm waiting till it comes out in the shops on monday.

As i've downloaded about 500 albums for free in the past few months I think it's time I paid for one.

i dont know. it just doesnt seem right, or normal for that matter, to tell people that your ex wife is your sister. its just a little strange

This album is full of influences.
Some more obvious than others.
Catch Hell Blues puts me in mind of something, or someone similar I've heard before.
Not sure if it's a particular song, or the overall sound.

Can you nail it Stu?

There is bass on the first two albums, and also on the last one. It was only an experiment on White Blood Cells that they didn't use any bass at all, and people picked up on it, and the fact that they don't use a bass player live. Hell, there's electric violins on the albums that they don't use live either.

Great band.
