Ive never really got into the white stripes but I liked seven nation army. i dont really see what is such a big deal about them to be honest.

Rock band The White Stripes have called off their UK tour, just days after they shelved a string of US dates.
The band announced on Tuesday that drummer Meg White was suffering from acute anxiety, leaving her unable to travel between concert venues.

^ Funny how they never get acute anxiety during a debut tour...innit!
 
I think Muse are still are better live band, personally can't imagine anybody beating them.

Also what do people think about meg's ginger hair, I think its looks awsome... but yes it is about the music, I'm just letting my feminine side out :)
 
I honestly would say no one in rock music is currently important enough to be an iconic figure in our generation, i'm waiting for that person. But if you were to say, in general the iconic figure in music from our generation is Eminem no doubt.
 
i think we've established the fact that Meg lacks technical ability with the sticks, but thats the beauty of the stripes.

I want this album to be bluesy, in the vein of their first two albums, yet with a production similiar to that of elephant and GBMS
 
Yeah, at least they'll get refunded.

I'm really annoyed though as I was looking forward to it. And acute anxiety, what the **** is that? Whatever it is it's acute, so she should get over it. I've probably gone and insulted a load of people now and made them more... anxious?

At least I've got Arcade Fire three days afterwarRAB.
 
I have to say I started listening to White Stripes late and didn't really start enjoying their music until I bought Seven Nation Army. I really love this album (the good and the bad). Do you all like the White Stripes?
 
The White Stripes is a really awesome band, probably the best one that's still active. White Blood Cells is their best album, IMO.

How come this thread has nearly 500 replies, yet only six people have voted in the poll?
 
when i first heard them i thort they were good. but working in a rock club in between banRAB i always have requests to play the white stripes, and due to the requests i have found myself sevearly overplaying them and im starting to hate them, i still think they are ok tho.
