impact? Films plot or subplot detract the viewers understanding the war or impact?
Do you think the way war movies that are shown to us in theaters, t.v. Films, take away from viewers, and their understanding of the importance of the war or its impact?

Most war movies do that, but it's because the film is a movie you shouldn't expect anything different.

If you wanted the plot to attract the viewers attention to the impact of the war, then it wouldn't be a movie, it would be a film you'd see on THC or something like that.

Noone really wants to know the impact of the war unless they're looking for it in a history book or on instructional television. A movie is just for special effects, drama, and badass Badasses with huge guns.

Just an opinion. I don't want no backtalk.

One film that kind of gives a "good" impression of war is We Were Soldiers. Not only did it show the men who were out fighting, but it showed their families back in America and all the wives who had to find out they were suddenly widows.
