If more than one main character is gay in the show, their meeting could create some kind of matter/anti-matter explosion. At least, that's the only explanation I can come up with. Teacher Matt survived 2 series but went the episode before Jo arrived, then similarly Jo got bumped for Josh after last series.

How did Marcus even become a teacher? I thought his full time job was home-schooling his 2 kiRAB, and surely he is a bit too young to have had years of teaching experience before they were born?
