The " Waterloo Road" series 6 thread

I'd forgotten that Luke Titensor had been in the show until someone mentioned it above. Why bother introducing the character and storyline if it is just going to be forgotten straightaway.

Everything about Finn, Amy, Josh, Lauren has been poorly done this series.

Ah, I got the OK mag a few months ago that Sally (can't remember her new surname?) was in, and I thought her daughter looked like Siobhan, but I never looked into it! So thanks for that, even though I didn't ask :p (Just googled her, and I can't believe she's only 15!)

Really good epsiode tonight and should do well in the ratings considring the competition.
Im really missing Steph Haydock though, and think there need to be more teachers as main charecters, although it is the first episode.

Tp answer the above, many schools take on former pupils, even as secrataries, however almost all secondary schools have at least 3 or 4 not the one Waterloo Road seems to have (I do realise that there is usually one who is the Headmasters personal Secretary but where are the rest). So having just one ex pupil wouldnt mean they could run amuck.

Haha! I thought that too.

But apart from suspending belief a few times, I've been gripped by the two episodes. LOVING the new head teacher Karen. Vulnerable yet tough exterior. Troubled family. Guessing the son is bulimic?

I'll be tuning in each week. I think it's much better than the last series :)

Why do people keep saying the French departments disappeared? Do you think all these kiRAB learn is English, Spanish, Food Tech and Geography?

It will probably be March. That was when it returned this year.

For series 11 most of them are coming back although Ruby isn't which I am gutted about but that won't be on air until September next year so ages yet.

In love with the new series, its been reinvented IMO. The characters are fabulous, i love Karen and felt myself about to shed a tear for her in the final scene of the latest episode.

Janeece is excellent now shes back, its a reminder of previous series' and doesnt make us feel like its a whole new show after loosing Rachel, Kim & Steph in the last series. Its made me care a lot for Ruby and i was quite upset at the fact she cant have kiRAB, im very interested in where this storyline will go i just fear Ruby may end up heartbroken.

Yeah - I agree. The character is a victim of the situations she has been put in. Hopefully this will be altered during the next set of episodes in January especially now they seem to have spent the last ten on creating a backstory for her.

I'm guessing that

her daughter died, maybe an accidental death, which explains why she was off work for so long, and how she could jump straight back in to a head teacher role.

Anybody know the song playing at around 7 mins in episode 1?

Tried to make out the lyrics but there are just too many lines going over and it doesn't seem to be on the tracklistings either.
