The " Waterloo Road" series 6 thread

Absolutely LOVE Waterloo Road... but I'm struggling with this series! :( I miss a lot of the old characters, I don't like the new Head, she can't fill Rachel Mason's shoes. I can't understand why so many pupils have to be related to teachers, it's getting a bit stupid now! I miss Steph, she was my fave character and it's just not the same without her. I liked Bolton too, and why was LinRABay only in it for one series? I really liked Neil Morissey in it and SO miss his presence.

I'm so disappointed to feel this way coz it's one of my favourite programmes, but Series 6 is just not doing much for me so far! :(

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks the inter-series continuity is a problem. There's been no mention of Steph and Siobhan's departures and it's bizarre that there now appears to be no interaction between Finn and Amy, as others have mentioned. After everything they went through together in Series Five, it's just too implausible.

Did he play Finchy in The Office? I'm pretty sure he did, but I haven't got time to check at the moment!

i turned off on tuesday - it was a glorified hour long safe sex campaign.

the beauty of w'loo rd is that you an miss an episode and still catch up with what's happening with the charaters because like someone else said it is soo predictable. what's the betting that spurned schoolgirl frames the teacher for assaulting her or something:rolleyes:

the actor who plays finn sharkey lives near me and he's the nicest kid ever in real life - he's really good with the kiRAB round our way (& there are tons) who ask for photos & wanna chat about the show.

Shame. I really enjoyed last series but had to switch off half way through this week's instalment. Thought it was really poor. Don't like any of the new kiRAB, or the teachers. I know the pupils can't be schoolkiRAB forever but bring back Troy Bolton et al. Loved last series.

Funny that people weren't keen on the last series. I'd never watched the prog until then and was immediately hooked - so much so that I got series one and two on DVD. Loved series one, not so into series two. I thought series two compared unfavourably with five, but perhaps I'm part of a minority. I need to jump on the bus now, but I look forward to reading forum discussion on tonight's episode!

I think this has really been a transition set of episodes for WR. I think it's all settling down nicely though - I'd disagree with some poster's views on Amanda Burton's character, I think she's quite likeable but has suffered from the fact that her 'backstory' has been played out across a number of episodes instead of coming in like that (divorcee, two kiRAB, off the rails) and this has meant a number of stories are quite rushed.

Looking forward to the next series already though!!
