The Watchmen comic book movie, which was dropped by Paramount has been picked up by Warner Bros:

"The Watchmen," the seminal DC Comics limited series created by Alan Moore and Gave Gibbons, has found a home at Warner Bros. Pictures. The project has landed at the studio with original producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin -- but not with screenwriter David Hayter and director Paul Greengrass, who were with the project when it was let go from Paramount in June.

Just hope they can find a really good director and writer for it. It's such a big story to try and fit into one 2 1/2 - 3hr film.

Aint it Cool have been giving "V for Vendetta" glowing reviews, if the Wachowskis have nailed that then they might get "The Watchmen" script. Must stress, that's just my hyothesis; they're contracted with WB, they love Alan Moore comics' and they are pretty much wrapped on their current project (another Alan Moore adaptation). Seems convenient.

According to Ainitcool.com Director Zack Snyder(Dawn Of The Dead) is in talks with the producers of the film of the graphic novel Watchmen about directing the film!
